Former Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been admitted to the hospital after suffering chest pains.
The Argentine is currently managing at Argentinian side Independiente and the 40-year-old is now seeking medical help after suffering chest pains on Tuesday and spent the night at a clinic in the upmarket Buenos Aires neighbourhood of San Isidro.
In a post on X, Independiente confirmed the former Argentine forward carried out satisfactory medical tests and would further have more tests.
“They carried out the corresponding tests and they were satisfactory. Today he will continue with a series of tests scheduled in advance as part of a general check-up. Carlos Tevez will be hospitalised as a precaution until the corresponding tests are completed,”

Tevez was rushed to hospital last year following a domestic accident and it is understood he suffers from high blood pressure and regularly undergoes medical checks.
Tevez suspended a press conference after his club was eliminated from a cup competition this year and has already thrown his future with the club into turmoil.
The former Juventus forward is one of 14 players to play for both Manchester Clubs and won the Premier League title in his two seasons at Manchester United and also won the Champions League in 2008.
