Ghana captain Andre Ayew added another goal to his recent streak, contributing to Le Havre’s essential 3-1 triumph over Strasbourg, lifting them further away from the Ligue 1 drop zone.
Having previously registered a goal in Le Havre’s exhilarating 3-3 stalemate against champions Paris Saint-Germain, Ayew once again proved instrumental in front of goal, finding the target deep into injury time.

Le Havre gained momentum early on, taking the lead in the 24th minute. Yassine Kechta headed home expertly after connecting with a pinpoint cross delivered by winger Josue Casimir.
Kechta struck again, nodding in another close-range header resulting from Casimir’s enticing delivery from the right wing.
Strasbourg attempted a comeback, reducing the deficit in the dying moments with Frédéric Guilbert heading in from close proximity. Regardless, they fell short of salvaging a point, conceding a late third goal due to Andre Ayew’s clinical finish in stoppage time.

This hard-earned victory moved Le Havre three points above the dreaded relegation zone, although their fate remains uncertain pending the outcomes involving fellow combatants Nantes and Metz across the weekend.
André Ayew, who signed on a brief contract until the conclusion of the ongoing campaign, now stands tall with six goals under his belt.
