Mohammed Kudus’ heroics at the Etihad Stadium were not enough to prevent Manchester City from winning the 2023/24 Premier League title on Sunday.

Manchester City needed a win to clinch their fourth consecutive Premier League title, avoiding any final-day drama as Arsenal kept their hopes alive.

Pep Guardiola’s men delivered a crucial performance to ensure their place in history against West Ham United.

Phil Foden, recently named Premier League Player of the Season, demonstrated his worth with two early goals. The England international controlled a splendid pass with an excellent first touch on the edge of the penalty box and smashed the ball into the top right corner just two minutes into the game. He doubled the lead in the 18th minute, curling the ball into the right side of the net past Alphonse Areola after a setup by Jeremy Doku.

Before halftime, Mohammed Kudus brought some excitement back to the game with a remarkable bicycle kick from 10 yards, flicking the ball up and sending it into the net. The goal seemed to ignite hope for Arsenal, who were hosting Everton.

However, Rodri sealed the victory for Manchester City on the hour mark. After receiving a cutback from Bernardo Silva, Rodri passed the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards out. Areola managed to get a touch but could not keep it out.

Meanwhile, Arsenal struggled to secure a result against Everton, as they managed a 2-1 win.

Manchester City’s triumph marks their fourth successive Premier League title, a feat unmatched in the league’s history. They finished the season with 91 points, two more than closest contenders Arsenal, who fell short again after last season’s efforts.
