President Nana Akufo-Addo’s convoy was involved in a fatal road crash between Asafo and Bunso on the Kumasi-Accra highway Sunday, May 19, 2024.
The President’s driver, Kwesi Atta, died instantly while several others who are part of his security detail, are battling for their lives at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
The convoy was on its way back from Kumasi where the President spent the weekend attending several functions, a statement signed by the Communications Director at the Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin, indicated.
Nana Akufo-Addo, the released incated, is safe and unhurt as he flew to Accra on a military helicopter.
