Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has shared his excitement after leading Atalanta to Europa League triumph with a remarkable hat-trick.
The 26-year-old forward shine bright on Wednesday against Bayer Leverkusen to become the first ever player to score a hat-trick in the final of the competition. The icing on the cake was the fact that it ended the German’s side’s 51-game winless streak in all competitions.
Lookman missed out on the Africa Cup of Nations title against Ivory Coast back in February, and also lost to Juventus in the Coppa Italia in May.
However, he has his first title of the year on his third try and did well to establish himself as player of the match while grabbing a jaw-dropping hat trick with goals of extreme quality.
“One of the best nights of my life, yeah. Amazing performance from the team and yeah we did it. Fantastic. They always say third time lucky. Just happy that we won today. 100 percent we are going to celebrate. We made history tonight,” he said.
