A swarm of bees have invaded the LED advertising board at the Stuttgart Stadium just hours before Germany face Hungary prompting firefighters to race to the Stuttgart Arena around to help tackle the insects.
According to Bild, the firefighters managed to remove the bees after an hour’s patience and delicate work and handed over to an experienced beekeeper.
This comes after BBC pundits were attacked by hornets during the half-time break of England’s win over Serbia.
Speaking after the incident a fire brigade spokesman revealed how they got the bees out of the stadium.
“The digital advertising board had to be partly dismantled to get the bees out.
“A member of the stadium’s technical staff supported us in our efforts.
“The bees had to move house once again, just like they did in May when VfB Stuttgart played Bayern Munich.
Germany got off to a great start trashing Scotland 5-1 and a win against Hungary will secure qualification to the next stage of the competition whereas Hungary suffered a 3-1 loss against Switzerland.
