Flagbearer and Founder of Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has stated that Free Senior High School will be reviewed if he becomes president.
He stated that the free senior high school policy is a good policy in concept however, its implementation lacks key elements to make it successful.
“I have said it that the free shs policy is a good programme in concept but the implementation is the problem and the policy cannot be continued without a review,” he told Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah.
According to the former trade and industry minister, certain criteria must be established in the quest to review the policy.
“Firstly, we have to ascertain the financial sustainability of the program that is where we can continue to get money to sustain the programme.
“Also, we have to consider infrastructure and how we can accommodate the huge number in the various schools. The curriculum used in the schools will also be reviewed as well as the transition of the graduates from the programme.”
He added that the review will let out the shortcomings of the programme and help improve the policy.
