Ashanti Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Adomako has urged the supporters of the party and Ghanaians to put their differences aside and support the Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to assist Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to build the nation.
In an interview on Angel Morning Show, the NPP organiser said that God has blessed the union of the two and anointed to bring transformation to Ghana.
“There was a sudden change in the weather yesterday. A heavy rain fell in the Ashanti region, which many saw as a sign of God’s approval of the Minister. God caused the heavy rain to fall with a clear statement that whatever you are looking for, the battle has finally ended. Everyone in the Ashanti region was calling Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s name, joyfully supporting him. This is what everyone has been looking for,” he said.
According to him, most of the party members might have wanted their preferred aspirants to be selected, but nevertheless he encouraged them to put aside everything and focus solely on the the party being promoted to Ghanaians.
“Let us put aside our differences and preferences, be united and support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in working hard to bring development to the nation. Let us focus on building the nation to show everyone we are united and hardworking. Let’s show everyone so far as the ‘name’ as been presented, what is left is development and hard work. That is all we want for the Ashanti region,” he admonished.
