Olympique Marseille striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has completed a move to Al Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League.

The newly promoted side have secured the Gabonese international’s services on a two-year deal.

Aubameyang spent just one season with the French side, scoring 30 goals in 51 games. He joined Marseille after a challenging stint at Chelsea, where he managed only three goals in 21 appearances following his move from Barcelona.

He follows former Real Madrid defender Nacho in moving this summer to Al Qadsiah, who finished top of the Saudi First Division League last season to gain promotion to Saudi’s top-flight.

The 35-year-old joins several high-profile players in Saudi Arabia, including Brazil forward Neymar and Ballon d’Or winners Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Arsenal captain, who won the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2018-19 season, also scored two goals in the Gunners’ FA Cup final victory over Chelsea in 2020.

Aubameyang’s move to Al Qadsiah marks another significant signing for the Saudi Pro League as it continues to attract top talent from around the world.
