The Minister of Finance, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, is finally presenting the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament after a 4-hour delay.
The delay was caused by agitations from the Minority in Parliament over the non-release of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). The NDC MPs had earlier threatened to boycott the presentation due to this delay.
The standoff led to a parliamentary impasse, delaying the presentation from its originally scheduled time of 10 a.m.

After several hours of heated negotiations and based on assurances and commitments from the government, the Minority has rescinded its decision and is currently in the chamber for the presentation to commence.
