
Ghana’s Beach Soccer team, the Black Sharks, have secured qualification to the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The team secured a decisive 5-2 victory over Ivory Coast in the second leg of their qualifier, sealing a 10-5 aggregate win.
Despite trailing 1-2 after the first period, Ghana mounted a strong comeback in the second half, with goals from Wise Nyamadi, captain Alex Osah, Precious Torgbor, and Jude Akile securing the victory.
This qualification marks another milestone for Ghanaian beach soccer and sets the stage for the Black Sharks to compete against the continent’s best teams in Egypt.
