Jordan Ayew is making a strong case to win back the trust of Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, having scored his second goal of the Eagles’ pre-season tour.
The Black Stars striker netted during their 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Stateside Cup, part of their preparations for the new season.
Ayew, who has attracted interest from Leicester City, came on in the second half and scored to double Palace’s lead just four minutes after the break. His goal followed an earlier strike by his compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp, who had put Palace ahead in the 35th minute.

Schlupp, a former Premier League winner with Leicester City, played the entire match and was also instrumental in the team’s success. Ayew, on the other hand, featured only in the second half but made a notable impact with his goal.

The game took place at the Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, and despite a late goal from Santiago Bueno for Wolves in stoppage time, Asher Agbinone scored Palace’s third goal to secure the victory.
Ayew’s performance is particularly notable as he aims to secure a prominent role under Glasner for the upcoming season.
With Leicester City’s interest still in the background, Ayew is focused on showcasing his abilities and making a significant impact at Crystal Palace.
