The fifth edition of the “Play with Stephen” golf tournament was launched earlier today, August 2, 2024, at the CFAO Mercedes-Benz showroom in Accra.
The tournament which will kick off between August 23 to August 25 will take place at the Achimota Golf Course.
It is a collaborative effort between CFAO Mobility and the Play with Steve Foundation bringing together golfers, friends and like-minded individuals to create awareness and support the Autism community.
Founder of Play with Stephen Foundation, Stephen Onaivi, believes in bringing people together to create awareness on autism and give back to the community.
“The project is first about giving back to the community. Secondly, autism is a sickness that a lot of people are not aware about on the continent. I have got some level of experience from the African continent, around the way people perceive people with autism. Where my ambition lies, is to get every African to understand, what autism is all about.” he said to 3sports.
Managing Director for CFAO Mobility Ghana, Damola Adelabu, revealed that the tournament serves a platform to support a just cause.
“It is a noble initiative I must say. CFAO as a group, supports sustainable development goals and CSR, which is promoting wellness and health. Promoting and supporting initiatives around autism so we are super excited to be part of this.”
This year’s edition is expected to host over 100 golfers across the continent, including industry experts and leaders across diverse fields.
