Asante Kotoko SC will represent Ghana in the Capital City Africa Cup in Washington DC, USA, this October.
The Porcupine Warriors will face off against Major League Soccer (MLS) side DC United in a highly anticipated friendly match on October 12th at Audi Field.
The game is part of Ghana Week DC 2024, an event organised by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The matchup between these two historic clubs aims to enhance the celebration of Ghanaian culture in the US capital.
Kotoko’s qualification for this match comes after their victory over Hearts of Oak in the Democracy Cup.
This will be the second time a Ghanaian Premier League club has played against DC United, following Medeama SC’s match last year. Medeama lost 2-1.
