Delegates gather in Pampram for 30th GFA Ordinary Congress

Ghanaian football delegates have gathered at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram for the 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), which began on August 26, 2024.

Ordinary Congress is being held at the newly renovated Technical Centre of the GFA.

The Congress brings together 124 representatives from Premier League clubs, Women’s Premier League clubs, Division One League teams, and Regional Football Associations.

They will review activities from the 2023-24 season and discuss plans for the upcoming 2024-25 football season.

GFA President Kurt Okraku will provide updates on ongoing strategic initiatives and new proposals. Delegates will address a range of issues affecting Ghanaian football and explore solutions for various challenges.

The Congress will feature a mix of work and leisure activities. Monday’s schedule includes fun games, group discussions on football issues, and a series of events including a presentation, photo session, interviews, and the groundbreaking for a new gym and swimming pool. Delegates will also tour the refurbished accommodation facilities.

The main session of Congress will be held on Tuesday, August 27. Following the Congress, the focus will shift to the new season, with the Ghana Premier League set to kick off on September 6.
