Eddie Nketiah set to join Crystal Palace

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is nearing a permanent transfer to London rivals Crystal Palace.

The English-Ghanaian is set to make the move after Palace reportedly offered £25 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

Nketiah has struggled to cement a regular starting spot at Arsenal. Last season, he made 10 Premier League starts out of 27 appearances, scoring five goals and providing two assists.

Nottingham Forest showed interest in signing him, but negotiations fell through, while Ligue 1 club Marseille had two bids rejected.

Nketiah’s contract with Arsenal runs until 2027, but Arsenal are not expected to reject Palace’s offer. The striker has been an unused substitute in Arsenal’s first two Premier League games this season.

For Crystal Palace, Nketiah’s arrival would be a significant boost. They endured a tough start to the season, losing their first two league matches to Brentford and West Ham.

Palace have also seen key players like Michael Olise, Joachim Andersen, and Jordan Ayew depart.

Nketiah, who made his Arsenal debut in the 2017/18 season, is eager to take on a new challenge and play a bigger role at Palace.
