Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano Constituency, Samuel Ayeh-Paye, has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for holding a press conference riddled with inconsistencies.
During the conference, National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah made conflicting statements regarding the ambulances procured by Ato Forson, leading to confusion and raising questions about the coherence of the party’s narrative.
Ayeh-Paye pointed out that Asiedu Nketiah initially claimed the ambulances were “fit for purpose,” indicating they were ready for immediate use.
“What I don’t understand about the NDC press conference is what Chairman Asiedu Nketiah said about the ambulances procured by Ato Forson. According to Asiedu Nketiah, the ambulances procured were fit for purpose,” he remarked.
However, Ayeh-Paye noted a contradictory statement made by Asiedu Nketiah, where he mentioned that additional equipment necessary to make the ambulances fully operational was procured separately.
“In another breadth, he also said that equipment that will make the ambulance fully operational were procured separately from the ambulance,” Ayeh-Paye highlighted.
This discrepancy prompted Ayeh-Paye to question the logic behind the statements made by Asiedu Nketiah.
“Why must you buy additional equipment for ambulances which are fit for purpose?” he asked, emphasizing the inconsistency in the NDC’s statements.
