The Black Princesses received a warm and enthusiastic welcome as they touched down in Bogotá, Colombia, for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Upon their arrival, the Colombian police greeted the team with loud cheers, music, and a short ceremony at the airport, creating a festive atmosphere that immediately lifted the spirits of the Ghanaian squad.

The welcoming ceremony saw the players and officials dancing alongside the Colombians and some of the local police officers, showcasing a joyful and celebratory moment as the team arrived in the country’s capital at approximately 5:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
The unexpected yet heartwarming reception clearly delighted the Black Princesses, setting a positive tone for their World Cup journey.
The team is scheduled to participate in several international friendly matches before the official kick-off on August 31, 2024.
The Black Princesses are set to begin their campaign in Group E with a match against Austria on September 2, followed by challenging fixtures against Japan and New Zealand.
They will aim to progress from the group stage for the first time, following five previous unsuccessful attempts.
