Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has withdrawn from the England squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium due to injury.
Saka reported to St George’s Park earlier in the week with an injury and hasn’t been able to participate in training.
As a result, he has returned to Arsenal for further rehabilitation. This development is a setback for England manager Gareth Southgate, as Saka has been a key player for the team since making his debut in 2020.
With no further replacements planned, the 25-man England squad continue their preparation for the matches against Brazil and Belgium.
Saka has been in impressive form for Arsenal this season, scoring 16 goals, including 13 in the Premier League.
He has also established himself as an important member of the England squad, with 11 goals in 32 appearances for his country.
