C/R: Missing Taxi Driver found dead in a public toilet

A 50-year-old taxi driver, Kwabena Teye, nicknamed “One Day,” has been found dead in a public toilet after going missing for two weeks.

The Assin Nyankomase Police were notified of his sudden disappearance after his Taxi cab was found in a bush.

A search party later found the body of an adult male in a toilet facility at Assin Juaso; father of the late Taxi Driver, Kwame Teye confirmed to Angel News.

This issue has sent shockwaves down the spines of some who have expressed fear about the increasing spate of murders in the area.

This comes after a 16-year-old student, Nathaniel Nyame was tragically found dead in a quarry pit at Assin Dompim on April 11, 2024.

 Earlier on February 6, 2024, an unidentified man in his 40s was found dead at the Railway Station Area in Assin Fosu.

Additionally, on February 20, 2024, a 65-year-old farmer named Akwasi Akuokoh was also discovered in a river at Assin Akropong in the Assin Fosu Municipal.

On May 18, 2024, Emmanuel Owusu, a 63-year-old farmer from Assin Atintan in the Assin North District, was found dead in River Pra while returning from the farm.

 Moreover, on May 16, 2024, in Assin Tabi in the Assin South District, a 48-year-old palm wine tapper named Akwasi Nimafo went missing and was later found dead also in a river.

In Assin Bosomadwe, police are investigating a suspected murder case in which a hunter had gone missing after going to the farm.

The residents are concerned about these incidents and are urging the police to increase patrols in the area for enhanced safety.

 According to them, given the diversity of the cases listed above, the police investigation needs to consider all possible angles and motives to uncover the truth behind these tragic events.

The Central North Regional Police Command has launched investigations into all these cases.
