Medeama head coach Nebojsa Kapor has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance during pre-season as they gear up for the 2024/25 campaign.
Kapor, who took over the reins in January 2024, is preparing for his first full season with the Yellow and Mauves, as they aim to reclaim the Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.
Last season, Medeama fell short of defending their title, with regional rivals Samartex making history by clinching the league title for the first time.
Reflecting on the pre-season preparations after a challenging previous campaign in both the league and FA Cup, the Bosnian coach expressed his satisfaction with the team’s progress.
“We are putting in a lot of hard work, and what’s most important to me is that the players are fully focused on everything we’re doing. This is crucial because the training sessions have been very productive, allowing our players to grasp everything perfectly,” Kapor told 3Sports.
No stranger to the Ghanaian football scene, Kapor previously managed Tema Youth and Bechem United. The 37-year-old, who is under contract until December 2024 with an option for a two-year extension, is determined to make a strong impact this season.
“Everything I’ve seen during training gives me positive feedback, and I believe we can seize every opportunity to achieve our goals,” Kapor said.
Medeama SC will kick off their season against last season’s runners-up, Accra Lions, at the newly constructed T&A Stadium.
