The 2024 UEFA European Championship has kicked off in Germany, bringing together the best teams across Europe.
Often called the Euros, this prestigious event features 24 teams and offers substantial prize money. The total prize pool for Euro 2024 is $357 million, the same as in 2020.
Each participating team gets $9.96 million just for competing.
Here’s how the additional prize money breaks down:
Win a match: $1.07 million
Draw a match: $0.53 million
Reach the Round of 16: $1.62 million
Reach the Quarterfinals: $2.69 million
Reach the Semifinals: $4.3 million
Finish as Runner-up: $5.4 million
Win the tournament: $8.6 million

If a team wins all three of their group games and goes on to win the final, they can take home a maximum of $30.43 million, according to UEFA. Each round’s prize money is added to previous winnings, making for potentially huge earnings.
