Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is thrilled to join Leicester City on a permanent deal after being impressive during his loan spell last season.
The 20-year-old Ghana international was a key player for the Foxes in the Championship last season helping them regain their top flight status.
After scoring six goals with 13 assists in 40 games, Leicester City clinched the trophy and made their way back to the Premier League, Issahaku’s contributions were rewarded as he was named Young Player of The Season.
He has now signed a five-year contract in a £14m deal from Portuguese side Sporting CP
“I feel amazing. It’s so good to be back and I’m just back to focus again for next season. I feel so much motivation to be in the Premier League. It’s something new to me. I’m going to go hard for that, with the team.”

“I can’t wait to see [my team-mates]. I’ve missed them so much. They are like a family now. I didn’t think I’d miss some of them, but when I went away, I was really missing them! I can’t wait to see them.”

As the campaign progressed, he improved significantly and delivered the standout individual performance of City’s title-winning season by scoring a hat-trick in a 5-0 thrashing of Southampton.
Fatawu is set to join the squad immediately for pre-season in preparation for their Premier League return.
The Foxes will welcome Tottenham in their first game of the 2024/255 Premier League season.
