Ghana midfielder Forson Amankwah has completed his transfer from RB Salzburg to English Championship side Norwich City.
The 21-year-old has signed a four-year contract with an additional one-year option.
Expressing his excitement about the move, Amankwah said, “I’m really happy and excited to come to the club. The head coach has worked with many young players before, so it’s really nice to be here working with him.”

Norwich City’s Sporting Director, Ben Knapper, praised Amankwah’s talent and versatility: “Forson is a talented and well-rounded player who will add quality to our squad. He has experience in the Champions League and has represented Ghana at the senior level. We believe he is a great fit for us and are confident we can help him develop further.”
Amankwah’s transfer is pending international clearance and approval from relevant regulatory bodies.
Before joining Norwich, Amankwah began his career at WAFA SC in Ghana and moved to RB Salzburg in 2021.
His time in Austria included loan spells at Liefering and Rheindorf Altach.
He made his debut for Ghana’s national team in March, accumulating 88 minutes in friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda.
