A leading member of the Movement for Change political group, Hopeson Adorye has been granted a GHC 20,000 bail by the Dansoman Circuit Court.
Mr Adorye was granted bail after he was arraigned by the Police on the charge of publication of false news.
Lawyers for the firebrand politician led by another leading member of the political group, Yaw Buaben Asamoa and Kwaku Attakora Manu prayed the court for their client to be granted bail since he is a public figure who will not interfere with police investigations.
The court presided over by Her Honour Halimah El-Alawa Abdul-Bassit granted him bail with conditions which is yet to meet.
Present at the court were supporters of the Movement for Change who were led by the wife of the group’s flagbearer, Mrs Kyerematen.
