The flagbearer of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten has called on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to start packing bags and baggage to exit power as their time for governing the country is over.
According to him, Ghanaians are fed up with the both the NPP and the main opposition political party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) which he believes have offered next to thing to the country despite being in power for 32 years.
“The game is over for both NPP and NDC. Ghana deserves better, and the time for real change is now. Alan Kyerematen is here to break the cycle and lead us into a new era. It’s time to end the old politics and build a brighter future…,” he said.
Mr Kyeremanten while speaking at a media engagement in Accra pledged that his decision to break away from the NPP and lead a new force was occasioned by a desire to see the country move beyond its current state.
“For 32 years, the duopoly of the NDC and NPP has chained our nation to failure, it’s time to break free and demand the change our country desperately needs…,” he added.
The former Trade and Industry Minister assured the media that he would lead a major transformation of the country’s economy when elected as President.
