Ghana forward Ibrahim Osman netted his sixth goal of the current campaign for FC Nordsjaelland in the initial leg of their Danish Cup semi-final match.
Although the 19-year-old scored the equalizing goal near halftime, Nordsjaelland eventually lost the encounter 3-2.
Playing on both wings for much of the season, Osman showcased his adaptability. However, in this particular game, he played as the central striker and marked his performance with a remarkable goal, taking his total to six for the term.
As Nordsjaelland trailed 1-0, with only moments remaining before halftime, Osman found himself in a prime spot to convert Marcus Ingvartsen’s cross and even the score, highlighting his excellent positional sense.
In addition to his impressive six-goal involvements (two goals and four assists) in the Danish League, Osman has contributed two goals each in the domestic competition and UEFA Europa Conference League.
Despite limited experience with only two seasons under his belt at Nordsjaelland, the young Ghanaian prodigy secured a five-and-a-half-year agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The English Premier League outfit reportedly paid approximately £16 million ($19.5 million) to acquire the promising attacker.
Having earned a maiden senior cap for Ghana, the teenager made his international debut in recent friendly matches versus Nigeria and Uganda.
