The Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Kenneth Adjei Kuranchie, has warned individuals who join political parties not for any goodwill rather their selfish gains.
He asserted most people follow political parties because they have the believe that they will benefit when the party wins power.
“Principally we all follow a political party because we are of the conviction that we would benefit when the party comes to power,” he said.
He noted that have people questioned where the benefits they expect come from, “the benefit you want to enjoy have you questioned where it is coming from,? “It is definitely coming from state resources,” he added.
It is in this light that Ken Kouranchie admonishes individuals not to follow a political party because of their parochial interest.
“And I am saying it is a wrong thing to join a party because of personal gains. You must follow a political because of its ideology,” he added.
