Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, has called on Nsoatreman FC to represent Ghana with pride in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.
The preliminary round matches are scheduled to take place from August 16 to August 25, with the second round set for September 13 and 22. The FA Cup champions will face TP Elect Sport of Chad in the first preliminary round of the competition.
Should Nsoatreman FC advance, they will face either CS Constantine of Algeria or Police FC of Rwanda in the second round, vying for a spot in the group stages.
Addressing the team, Okraku emphasised the significance of their participation: “You carry the aspirations of over 30 million Ghanaians. Keep your focus and take your training seriously. Playing in Africa comes with enormous benefits, and it is my fervent hope that you will raise the flag of our country high as you embark on this adventure.”

Okraku highlighted the recent successes of Ghanaian clubs in continental competitions, noting that Medeama SC reached the group phase of the CAF Champions League and Dreams FC made it to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season, becoming the first Ghanaian side to do so since 2004.
Meanwhile, Nsoateman have seen a change in the technical team with Yaw Preko replacing Maxwell Konadu who has departed to South Africa after clinching the FA Cup with the Amanaso side.
The team has therefore made significant signings in a bid to impress in their debut continental campaign.
