Leicester City are disappointed to see the departure of manager Enzo Maresca following the Italian tactician’s decision to join Chelsea.

Maresca had led Leicester back to the top flight after finishing top of the English Championship.
The club is therefore unhappy with his departure.
In a statement, external confirming Enzo Maresca’s departure, Leicester City said: “Given the promising foundations established during his single season in charge, the Club is disappointed that Enzo has decided at this stage that he no longer wants to be part of our vision.
“However, with Enzo’s decision made and the Board’s terms for his departure met, we wish him well in his future endeavours. He leaves with the appreciation of everyone at the Club for his work in helping us to achieve an immediate return to the Premier League during the 2023/24 season.”

The Italian will be tasked to continue the rebuilding process with the preferred youngsters at the club syncing with the vision of the club.
Chelsea finished 12th last season and missed out on Europe in a poor campaign which led to the sacking of Graham Potter.
However, there was a positive shift the following season when Mauricio POchettino despite starting poorly managed to finish in sixth place to return the club to Europe where they will compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Enzo Maresca is therefore set to take over to champion a bigger goal to appease the fans who have aired their frustrations severally in the last couple of seasons.
