Forson Amankwah has credited his smooth transition at Norwich City to the support of his new teammates.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian midfielder recently joined the Canaries on a four-year deal from RB Salzburg, just before the new Championship season kicked off.

Amankwah made his debut as a second-half substitute in a 2-0 loss to Oxford United, where he impressed fans despite the result.

Merely three days later, he earned his first start in the Carabao Cup first-round game against Stevenage at Carrow Road.

The young talent played a crucial role in the opening goal and provided an assist for the final goal, making a strong impression on the home crowd.

“It was really good. For a club like Norwich, the standards are very high and today we had a good game. After the loss over the weekend, we showed up to win,” Amankwah stated post-match.

His rapid adaptation to English football has been noticeable. Amankwah attributes this to his teammates’ assistance: “I am now settling and I always talk with my team mates. They’re helping me a lot especially in the game. I was really excited because it was my first game at Carrow Road. The most important thing is that we won.”

Norwich City will aim for their first Championship victory when they host Blackburn on Saturday, with Amankwah looking to build on his promising start.
