Hon Ignatius Baffour Awuah, President of Nsoatreman FC, has urged his team to secure a 3-0 victory in the first leg against Elect-Sport FC from Chad in the 2024–2025 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
The match, which will be played on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, marks Nsoatreman FC’s debut in interclub competitions.
In an interview on Akoma FM, Hon. Ignatius encouraged the players to give their utmost effort and represent Ghana proudly. He emphasised that a strong performance in the first leg will make the second leg more manageable.
“You may underestimate yourself, but whether you like it or not, you are now Ghana’s ambassadors, responsible for marketing the country. If you perform well, you take credit for yourself.”
Hon. Ignatius entreats the players to imitate Dreams FC and Medeama’s performance, assuring them of the board’s support.
“I just want to encourage you to do your best and ensure that you can achieve what others (Dream FC and Medeama) have done. I am confident that you can do it, management and the board are always willing to support you.”

But the President insists that his team secure a convincing victory in the first leg.
“Simply make yourself proud by winning convincingly by three goals to one here in Ghana, and the return leg will be a foregone conclusion.”
