Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah, President of Nsoatreman FC, has appealed for financial support as the club prepares for its debut in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Bono Ahafo team will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup after winning the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup for the first time in history.
Despite their success, Hon. Ignatius expressed concern about the sustainability of their upcoming African campaign if they relied solely on contributions from fellow board members.
Nsoatreman FC received GH¢ 180,000 for their victory (Gh¢ 80000 as prize money and Gh¢ 100,000 as preparatory money for the African campaign), in addition to contributions by members on board, which is said to only cover their preliminary stages according to Board Chairman Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Baffour Awuah discussed the financial challenges and appealed for help from various sectors.
