Samartex have advanced to the next stage of the CAF Champions League qualifiers following a 1-0 victory over Victoria United on Sunday in Accra.
This win secured a 2-0 aggregate triumph for the Ghanaian champions, who had also won the first leg 1-0 in Cameroon.
Isaac Afful’s stunning goal in the second leg sealed the victory, ensuring that Victoria United could not mount a comeback. With this result, Samartex have booked their place in the final qualifying round, where they will face Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.

Raja Casablanca reached this stage with an impressive win over ASGNN of Niger. As they advance to the final qualifying round, Samartex are looking to make their debut in the group stage, a milestone Raja Casablanca has achieved numerous times.
The winner of this matchup will secure a place in the lucrative group stage, known as the “money zone” of the competition.
