The founder and leader of United Front Party (UFP), Akwasi Addai Odike has challenged the 2024 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to commence the implementation of his vision for the country if he really means well.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Monday, Odike said there is no better way for the flagbearer of the ruling party to demonstrate his love for the country than implementing the very policies he goes about preaching while still the Vice President of Ghana.
In his view, if Dr. Bawumia has something better to offer why is he waiting to become president before implementing the tertiary scholarships for peoples with disabilities.
“Dr. Bawumia who is claiming to be the one to take over should be given the opportunity to implement his ideas and visions in order for us to see that he is ready,” he said.
Odike’s statements were in reaction to the Vice President’s promise to give tertiary scholarships to persons with disabilities.
“So as we speak why is he not implementing his policies?,” he quized.
He added that if Dr. Bawumia claims he is ready to take over from Akufo-Addo, he should start carrying out his ideas for positive impact on the citizenry.
