Thiago Silva is set to depart Chelsea and join Brazilian club Fluminense following the conclusion of the Blues’ final Premier League fixture on May 19th.
Chelsea have granted the 39-year-old defender permission to link up with his new teammates before officially completing his registration on July 1st.
Silva has committed to a two-year deal with Fluminense.
Having arrived at Chelsea on a free transfer from PSG in 2020, Silva has amassed 152 appearances for the London side.
During his tenure, the former Brazil captain contributed to the club’s success, securing three trophies, notably the 2020-21 Champions League title.
