Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford has been charged with “misconduct” by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
This was during the matchday 28 fixture between Lions and Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Saturday, April 27.
The match ended 1-1.
However, during the second half, the visitors’ coach and his players charged onto the field to temporarily halt play.
He even brought a seat to the pitch, complaining about poor officiating.
This behaviour is what he has been charged for.
Already, seven Bechem United officials will face the Committee on Thursday over allegations of attacking match officials.
The club was also charged.
Veteran Bashir Hayford has up to Monday, May 6 to respond to the charge, which breaches Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations 2019.
