The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha has admitted that the current power challenges can go a long way to affect the party’s performance in the December 7 polls.
He therefore admonished that the government to recognize the current problem and acknowledge how similar problem made the NDC lose the 2016 elections.
“We understand and know the effect of the current situation and we are not ready to play with it because we are very much aware how it took the NDC to opposition,” he told Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah on Angel Morning Show (AMS).
He further admitted that the NPP would suffer similar fate if immediate actions are not taken to salvage the current menace.
“There is absolutely no doubt that the current ‘dumsor’ will worry us going into the December 7 polls. You don’t need any rocket science to know this,” he added.
He therefore called on the party’s leadership to pressure the government to immediately fix the current problem to save the party from losing the 2024 elections.
“I side with the people that the ‘dumsor’ has to be fixed and that is all the party needs,” he said.
