The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMeT), is warning potential flash floods as the country enters the raining.
Speaking Thursday May 16, 2024, on the Angel Morning Show, Head of Central Analysis and Forecast Office at GMeT, Felicity Ahafianyo says the public should take caution as the rains will come in heavy at least, once a every week.
Generally, below normal to normal rainfall is forecast over most places in the country, however, some areas in the southeastern parts of the country, especially the coastal and its inland areas will experience normal to above normal rainfall tendency for the season.
“At the end of these forecasts, recommendations are made to the various stakeholders to help better minimise risks and maximise the opportunities that exist in the season,” she told host of the show, Kwadwo Oppong Kyeremeh.
